Why Hyundai? Let’s start with 30 years of automotive excellence. On their 30th anniversary, Hyundai has a lot of reasons to celebrate. There are the safety awards, received most recently in 2016 for the Genesis, Sonata, and Tucson.

Or we could focus on the affordability and practicality of Hyundai, awarded the 2016 Kelley Blue Book 5-Year Cost to Own Award, which is given to vehicles with the lowest ownership costs. We could touch on innovation, on the extensive testing, on the Hyundai Assurance that keeps you driving safer, longer with your worry-free guarantee.

But there’s a reason Hyundai is celebrating 30 years of excellence, and a reason you want to celebrate with them. Hyundai’s 30th anniversary is a celebration of years of commitment to you, to making constant improvements and to putting the best product forward, day in and day out for 30 years.

Hyundai: 30 Years of Making the Best Even Better

Hyundai was established in 1967, the brainchild Chung Ju-Yung, making its debut as Hyundai Motor Co. in South Korea. Fast forward to 1986, and Hyundai enters the U.S. as part of the growing Hyundai Motor Group. Since then, Hyundai has become an American household name, with many of the Hyundai’s you see on the road built right here in America.

In 2002, Hyundai revealed plans for its first U.S. automotive assembly plant in Montgomery, Alabama. The company further dug its roots with design, research, and testing grounds in California, plus engineering facilities in Michigan. In 2011, Hyundai contributed 94,000 jobs for people all across this nation.

All these employees mean one thing: innovation never has to stop. Hyundai vehicles are all tested under the most extreme conditions, driven on the most demanding terrains, and quality-tested again and again. When customers are given the Hyundai Assurance, they are given a promise that they are driving a car that can handle anything the road throws at it.

The Fortune of Success

Cars aren’t the only thing Hyundai wants to make better. 17 years ago, Hyundai began Hyundai Hope On Wheels®, raising money to go towards the fight against childhood cancer. Since it’s inception, the program has raised more than $100 million dollars.

The success of Hyundai is a cause for celebration, and the 30th anniversary of a company that cares is a cause for congratulations. 30 years of automotive excellence never looked so good.
