Hyundai Car Care Tips

Schedule an Oil Change

Regardless of how powerful your engine might be, without adequate amounts of clean, fresh oil, the engine cannot run at peak performance. Dirt and grime can build up in oil over time and will cause irreparable damage as it flows through the engine. If oil levels become too low, the engine can seize and become lifeless in a very short time. Take preventative measures now and schedule your next oil change. Doing so on a regular basis will extend the life of your car by years.

Prep for Pollen and Rain

Pollen and spring showers can severely limit visibility as you travel. Schedule a car wash before the next rainstorm arrives so that you can scrub all the salt from the winter roads off of your car while paying special attention to the windshield, headlights and taillights. If any lights appear to be dim or dying, replace them now. Clean or replace the windshield wipers as well and be sure to top off your washer fluid so you can mist away any yellow streaks of pollen. For added visibility, spray a rain repellant on the windshield and mirrors so you won’t be caught off guard on your next rainy or foggy drive to work.

Check Your Tires and Brakes

Rain can also create slick driving conditions which makes now is the perfect time to check the tread on your tires and the health of your braking system. Ensure that tires are adequately inflated and consider replacing your tires if the tread has become too worn. Take a look at the brake pads and consider flushing out and replacing the braking fluid in the hydraulic braking system. Our service team has any Hyundai parts you may need to get your car running safely again. Taking these precautions now can help you avoid or mitigate a collision in the future.
